EARTHQUAKE IN MEXICO. HOUSES COLLAPSE AT NIGHT. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Dec. 23, 5.5 p.m. Vancouver, Dec. 21. According to a report received at Colonia Morelos the earthquake in Sonoro, Mexico, took a heavy toll of lives in the towns of Granados and Huasapas.. Persons who had retired for the night constitute the major proportion of the fatalities. They were killed when the houses collapsed. Oputo is reported to have suffered but slightly. There were no deaths and few Were injured. Reports from Macadenci and Macoriehico are anxiously awaited. These are ■mall towns east of the volcanic range of mountains which is believed to be the cen* tit of the disturbance.
