MOTOR FATALITY.

DEATH OF A CHILD. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborne, Last Night. A motor fatality occurred this afternoon, the victim being a six-year-old girl named Mary Rowan. A party of children had alighted from a tramcar and were crossing to the side of the road in front of a tramcar, when a motor-car driven by Miss Orr, of Tekaraka, passed the tramcar and struck the child. She was admitted to a private hospital suffering from a 'fractured skull and injuries to the head, but she died a few hours later.
