WIRELESS DEVELOPMENT.

DISPARAGEMENT RESENTED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Nov. 12. Mr. J. A. Taylor, president of an association for developing wireless between Australia and New Zealand, deprecates the remarks of Mr. Watson, of Sydney (who said that broadcasting was on the wane), as being opposed % the facts, because the number of listeners-in in England trebled during the past twelve months, vide Sir L. Worth-ington-Evans’ figures on Saturday. Mr. Taylor objects to the tendency to describe wireless as a novelty, like the gramophone or such like instruments. It is more like the telephone, rapidly becoming an indispensable factor in everyday life.
