IN POSSESSION OF OPIUM. By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, Nov. 13. Before the magistrate, Mr. Dyer, Ah Fong was fined £3O for being in possession of opium. Accused said it was for other men and he was going to throw it away when he was caught. A tin of pure opium was found in his bedroom. There were three previous convictions against him. THE BULLER RAILWAY. Westport, Last Night. Mr. C. S. Beilly .president of the Buller Progress League, announced tonight that he had been officially informed that, work will be resumed on the Buller Gorge railway in the morning. DAIRY CONTROL BOARD. Palmerston North, Last Night.. Mr. P. J. Small, of Kairanga, president of the Wellington executive of the Dairy Farmers’ Union, is a candidate for the Dairy Control Board.
