THE MONTHLY SITTING. At the Manaia court on Monday, before Mr. A. M. Mowlem, S.M., judgment for plaintiff by default was given in each of the following undefended civil cases: —W. Opai v. IT. Hardacre, £l6 IBs 9d; T. H. Grove? v. C. 11 Broad, £3; P. Merrie v. J. Epal. £44 12s; A. G. Bennett v. L. B. and G. D. Parsons, x 22 3s (against L. B. Parsons). W. Sutton, for failing to return military equipment- to the Government when ordered, was fined £l, with costs 7s, and ordered to return the equipment, the default being fixed at seven days’ imprisonment.
