THE SYDNEY TRIP.
DIRECT BOAT FROM NEW PLYMOUTH. ARRANGEMENTS COMPLETED. The Taranaki Chamber of Commerce ia now in possession of full informa* tion regarding the special trip it ha? arranged to be made direct from New Plymouth to Sydney and back late in February or early in March of next year. The minimum number required by the shipping company is 70, and the steamer fare will be £l2 each way, first class, or £24 return. The Director of the N.S.W. Tourist Bureau (Mr. J. 8. Cormack), with the secretary of the N.S.W. Millions Club (Mr. A. S Bailey) have arranged itineraries for the party as follows: £ a. d. Sydney Harbor (one day) 14 O Hawkesbury River (one day) 10 0 Burrinjuck Dam and Canberra (4 days) 11 0 ® Jenolan Caves and Blue Mountains (4 days) 8 0 ® Newcastle (2 days) 3 0 # Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (4 days) 10 0 ® North Coast, Northern Rivera, etc. (4 days) 1° 0 0 Bulli Pass and National Park (one day) 2 0 Q Most of the trips will be done by motor car, or part by train and part by motor car. In each case a guide will accompany the party. Besides these special trips, arrange* ments 1 will be made to visit manufacturing works in and around Sydney as well a«s the various points of interest in and near the city. It will not be incumbent upon a mem-< ber of the party to do any or all the trips. He can take any he likea, so long as he decides in time for the necessary arrangements to be made. The hotel tariff whilst in Sydney will be from 7s 6d per day for bed and breakfast, the other meals being a la carte and taken wherever the visitor happens to be. A list of the hotels and their tariffs will be available, before the vessel leaves New Plymouth «o that the visitor may make hie own selection. Providing a member of the party avails himself of al) the trips mentioned above, and spends a week or so in Sydney, the total cost of the trip, including boat fare, will work out at about £BO. If some of the more expensive trips are cut out, the trip will cost proportionately less. The exact date of the sailing of the boat is not yet known, the Union Company not being in a position to fuiniah the information until ft little later on. It is expected the excursion will take nearly five weeks from the date of. sailing.
