ATHLETICS.
NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. At a meeting of the executive of the New Plymouth Athletic Club on Monday night, it was decided to hold an opening meeting on Saturday, October 22. Mr. Moyes kindly offered tbe use of the High School grounds for the occasion, and there is no doubt that the success of the meeting is assured. Every effort is to be made to get the attendance of the most prominent athletes in the Dominion, and from replies to hand the competitions should be keenly contested. ♦
