Received Sept. 2(i, 5.5 p.m. Paris, Sept. 25. M. Leygues, interviewed, said he always held that Franco-British friendship must be the basis of peace in Europe. Without British friendship France could not re-build and enjoy fully that peace and prosperity which justice, as well as victory, entitled her to.
