ELTHAM CLUB. The annua] meeting of the Eltham Bowling Club was fceld on Monday, Mr. W. D. Ross presiding. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. N. E. Drayton; vice-presi-dent, Rev. J-. G. Castle; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. W. Holder; committee, Messrs. H. H. Judd, C. R. K. Cumming, Summers, and Heyes; selection committee, Messrs. E. Carter, H. G. Carman, and .T. G. Castle; ground supervisor, Mr. H. G. Canman; delegate to Taranakl Bowling Centre, Mr. A. W. Holder. After some d'acussion it was decided not to enter for the banner competition this season. Messrs. J. K, M. Stewart, N, E. Drayton, and E. Carter offered trophies for the coming season, to be awarded as the committee sees fit. Considerable discussion took place concerning the somewhat unsatisfactory state of the club's finances, and it was decided to recommend the committee to call a special meeting to consider the matter of raising funds.—Argus.
