ESCAPES FROM MT. EDEN GAOL AN HABITUAL CRIMINAL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. William Frederick Murray, alias Jackeon, alias Stanbrook, a steward and a seaman, -who was serving a sentence for theft, escaped from Mt. Eden Gaol on Saturday afternoon, presumably by scaling a wall. Murray entered a house, where lie purloined a suit of civilian clothes, leaving (lis prison attire in exchange. He has not Deen seen since. • Murray had been declared an habitual crlfcinal.
