THE ADRIATIC.

ITALIAN PREMIER SUPPORTED. Rome, April 29. Signor Orlando, in the Chamber of Deputies, said that ho had warned the Allies that peace was impossible without Italy's assent. Her claims were hased on justice, and ought to be granted in their entirety, then Italy could have a further alliance with any reconstituted European State. He repudiated the imperialistic charges against Italy, pointing out that he had neither sought overseas possessions nor displayed greed for indemnities; he had only yielded to sentiment. Rome, April 30. The Chamber enthusiastically expressed its confidence in the Government; only the Socialists abstained from vot-ing.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
