RUSSIAN FLEET ACTIVE IN BLACK SEA. I Athens, October 15. The Russian fleet captured two Gerinans steamers bound for Galatz with cargoes of cereals. (This may explain the firing heard in .tin: Black Sea, which was interpreted in ' some quarters as betokening an engagement between the Russian and Turkish fleets. Later messages proclaim Turkey's unwillingness to join in Germany's war, and the seizure of these two vessels off the Roumanian coast appear to account for the cannonading.
