•THE MYSTERIOUS HUGARD. A CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. % offering to let one of the Territorials load his bwn ride and lire at his heart, llugard has disposed of half the j theories as to how this sensational act is 'performed. It has been thought by many that llugard disposed of the regu- ] la lion cartridges and substituted blank onus for the purposes of his little experiment, but, obviously, this will be quite impossible when the Territorial loads his i own gun. The new test of his powers is the outcome of a challenge received, and llugard has arranged with the picture proprietary to give another performance to-night, when he will subject his spectacular act to this big test. In addition there will be a complete change of programme, and an opportunity will be given to the public to see something more of the latest in conjuring. EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE.
