1)10 BURGH ADAMS INSTALLATION.

There was a very large and representative gathering of Masons from all over Taranaki last evening at St. Mary's Hall, on the occasion of the installation of Bro. J. W. Hay den as W.M. of Lodge ])i' Burgh Adams No. 448, I.C. The insl illation ceremony was impressively performed by V.W. Bro. A. Goldwater. V.W. Bio. E. Whittle officiated as Master of Ceremonies. The address to the Master was given T)y the V.W. Installing Master, and to the Wardens and brethren by V.W. Bro. A. L. Hammond. The newly installed master invested his officers for the year as follows:—Past Muster, Wor. Bro. R. 0. Ellis; Senior Warden, Bro. R. J. Deare; Junior Warden, Bro. IT. Soutliam; Treasurer, Rt. Wor. Bro. J. Ellis; Secretary, V. Wor. Bro. E. Whittle; Chaplain, Rt. Wor. Bro. W. F Brooking; Director of Ceremonies, Wor. Bro. W. H. Beadle; Organist, Bro. W. Hoskin: Senior Deacon, Bro. J. Toms; Junior Deacon,- Bro. W. W. Thompson; Inner Guard, Bro. H. M. Smith; Senior Steward, Bro. E. J. Sole; Junior Steward. Bro. J. Lepine; Tyler, Wor. Bro. J. Asher.

During the evening Wor. Bro. R. M.! C'orney was presented with a Past Mas-1 tor's jewel. After closing the Lodge, an j adjournment was made to the Brougham Street Hall, where the assom-1 bled brethren were the guests of the De.' Burgh Adams Lodge at a banquet, cat-1 ered for by Bro. A. Woller. The decor-1 at ions of the tallies by Bro. Cutler were ) greatly admired. After justice had been j done to' the succulent viands provided, ] an hour or two was spent in harmony, j a number of Masonic toasts being duivj honored.
