a U-if."::'■'■'-.._ CASE. Per Press Association. Paliiatua, Last Night. At the Magistrate's Court to-day. Wm. Joseph White, licensee of the Post Office Hotel, Paliiatua, was convicted and discharged on a charge of selling liquor to a person already in a state of intoxication, and on a charge of permitting drunkenness on licensed premises he was convicted and fined 40s and costs 13s. It was explained that defendant was away lying down at the time when the offences were committed, and, therefore, had no knowledge of the occurrences.
