MINISTERIAL.

—> » THE CABINET ON TOUR. Per Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The Prime Minister, the Hon. W. F. Massey, arrived from Wellington by the Maori this morning, and left by the first express for Dunedin. The Hon. Jas. Allen, 'Minister of Defence, joined him at the station, and they travelled together to Dunedin and Milton. This evening, in Dunedin, a public meeting is to be held, at which both Ministers will speak, and to-morrow evening the programme will be repeated at Milton, which is the centre of Mr. Allen's electorate of Bruce. A return to Christchurch will be made on Thursday, the Ministers catching the ferry steamer that evening for Welling ton. The Hon. A. L. Herdman, Minister of Justice, who returned from the West Coast last evening, went as far as Dunsandel with the express, apparently for the purpose of conferring with his colleagues, as he returns by this evening's boat to Wellington. When seen by a reporter, the. Prime Minuter said he had nothing to communicate at the present stage of affairs. He could, not say what course would be followed in regard to the Speakership. That would become apparent when the House met. Asked if the Government had come to any decis.ion.yet about the Provincial Council buildings site being banded over to the city for the erection of a town hall, Mr. Massey said: "No; not yet. Cabinet has not gone into the question."
