On Monday the Ifith hist the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited held a clearing sale on account of Mr. W. 11. Fenwick, of Tariki. There was a large attendance of the public, and bidding was very keen on everything offered, but several buyers who were present were unable to operate largely on account of shortage of feed. All the machinery was in first class order, and the stock were in exceptionally good condition, and consequently sold very readily. Prices were as follows: Cents saddle f>2s (id, hay sheet 755, timber jack 110s, Massev Harris mower £l2 10s, knife grinder 21s, 9-coulter Farmers' Fa vori te drill £2!) 1 Os, tine harrows sos. chain harrows 00s, spring milk cart £l2 ss, disc liarrows £5 10s, single furrow plough (old) £3 12s (id, grass harrows £| ss, milk cans Kis and 20s. factory shares His,, fowls 2s (id, "Bell" organ £ls, chairs 3s (id, couch 355, double-seated buggy 30s. bu?gy harness £3, one three-quarter draught horse £3O, one carriage horse £22. one pedigree Jersey cow "Magnet's Vixen" calved. 32Vi guineas; heifer calf, week old, 10 guineas; pedigree Jersey heifer, empty, 14 guineas; one pedigree, heifer "Golden Dolly" 10 1 /, guineas, pedigree wearier heifer in poor condition, 5% guineas, pedigree Jersey bull "Waifs guineas, pedigree weauer bull "Will'"' ]2»/> guineas; nice line or Jersey in-calf heifers realised from 13 to 20 guineas, also a nice line of Jersey weauer heifers 5 guineas to 8 guineas. We might say that this sale has bi»en the best held so far this season for this class of stock.
