Arnst and Pearce met to-day and arranged to row for the championship ofthe world and £SOO a-side on July Bth or on the following Saturday, Pearce making a deposit of £6OO to fix the race. Pearce wanted Arnst to stick to his promise to row in ten weeks, but Anrst wanted more time to consult big supporters and for preparation. He promised to cable his supporters to cover Pearce's deposit in a few days. Then he could sign the articles.
