BRITAIN EQUALS THREE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 24, 9.50 p.m. Paris, February 24. Apropos of the discussion as to whether Britain, in the event of war, would arrange for France to guard the Mediterranean, Admiral Fremantle was interviewed by Le Matin, and he declared that if her present programme were realised France would be able, in 1920, to hold her own against the Austro-Hun-garian and Italian fleets combined.
