. HAS HAD HIS DAY. By Cbble—{Press Association— Copyright Sydney, December 30. The Labor Council defeated a motion of censtre on the Minister of Labor for allowing shops to open on Christmas Eve. The Council received from the Colliery Employees' Federation a subscription list for a testimonial to Peter Bowling. The list was received in silence, and allowed to lie on the secretary's table in order that members desiring to do so might subscribe.
