TRAM ACCIDENT.
PKE PBE9B ASSOCIATION. OHBiSTCHtJKCH, April 12. A tram accident occurred ou the Ferry-road lino list evening, by which five parsons wrro injured. Tbe steam tram from Ohristchurch to Sumner and the horse tram from Woolston to Oht should have parsed at a siding near" the ('avcrv.ham Hotel, but, as the 1 iUt'was not tber , the steam tram went on, and a collision took plaoe. Sa'i«.g a collision imminent, the driver pull d his horsfs off the line, but one was so injured that it died shortly afterwards. The mo it s'rious eiseof i th se itjured is that of a son of Mrs Milcolm, of Grafton sreet, who is suffering from concussion of the brain. Mrs Buchanan, of Woolston, received a nasty injury to her eye, mid ber baby was somewhat bruised. Thos, Parsons had his knee injured, Mrs Turner a bad cut on one side of her head.
