PKB PBXSBB ASSOCIATION. Wanoandi, April 11. A fie ocsurred yesterday morning by which a shop and dwelling occupied by Henry Badley and owned by 0. J. Hollis were destroy d. The building was insured for .£BOO in the Imperii)] and the stock for £175 and furnitur. for £25 in the Northt-rn or Union. Inqlewood, April 11. On Thursday night about ten o'clock, Western's mercery shop was discovered to b9 on fire. The shop had been closed sicca six o'clock. Mr Western li ft by the 5 50 train leaving his assistant to close tin shop. The fie was discovered bv Mr George, win waa talking to the constable. They broke, open the door and set to work to stamp out the fire Men soon assembled and the fire was ex itiguished. The damage |is not serious bus a very few minuW [dehy would have meant sweeping the jwho'eof the east side of Moa-stwet to the June ion Roa4, as a s'rong southerly wind was blowing »t the time.
