psa rasas associatioh. Hawera, April 11. . A nine-year-old girl named Kerrisk, daughter cf a. farmer at Manutabi, died from shock at Patea hospital through being burnt abru 1 ; the body. The accident ocourred when the girl was lighting a fie. Maston, April 11.
A young womau, Hannah Morrison Gilbert, agod'26, died at Marton on Thursday while under chloroform for a dental operation. Napibe, April 13. A sensational occurrence took place on Sunday afternoon. A pillow c.is> containing the b.diea of two newly iorn iijfan'-.p, apparently twins, beiup fished out of the harbour duar the pier heads at the Spit, The pillow ose, with its contents, was first noticed by-two very small boys who were fishing, and who brought the object ashore on their line, and on openh'g it and seeing its conten's brew it back, being frightened, but afterwards gave information, and it was recovered by the police. At present there is no cluo as to the ideotity of the itifants. An inquest will be held to-morrow.
