At the Court to-day, the Magistrate dismissed a charge against Howard Nattrass, of Wellington, of an oifonee against the Animals Protection Act at Waikaremoana. 'i'he Magistrate held that the Governor's proclamation was only operative for one season, and that there must be an annual notification in nowspapers circulating in tiie district. Ho convicted tho defendant on two other charges of kuiing pigeons, the tines and costs totalling over £25.
