Oock, both of ; this city, Private E. C. Hoult, of the Wellington Infantry Battalion, is a son of Mr. C. M. Hoult, surveyor.; [Private H. Newton, wounded at tho J>aruf.nellos, was at Nelson College in 1906 and played h\ the- senior football fifteen in if'oß. - Pryate A. Mullany, ono of ihe Dardano les wounded, is.a son of Sergeant Mulhny, formerly of Nelson. Sapper L 11. Reid, reported wounded ft the Dardanelles, it is believed is ul-mtieal with Mr L t f[. Reid, who was formerly in tho Anchor foundry at Nelson. He left hcrj, lor Lytfceltousome two or three years ago. A rather remarkable case of enlistment is that in which the whole five sons of the Re/. H. Lefroy Yorke, M.A., B.D.j of Liverpool, have joined the. Army—three in the medical division ;>nd two in the ranks. The Rev. ■ Mr YorkeV brother, Mr J. C. Yorke, of Masterton, also has his only son-— within tho age-limit—serving at the Dardanelles with tho New Zealand Force. Nen.s was rervned in Nelson yesterday of the death at Otaki of Mr. Hugh Hall, after a brief illness following Oil operation for appendicitis. The dece-ised was the scvona son of tho late Mr H. T., {.all, at one time proprietor of tho Golden Fleece Hotel, and was n native oi. Kelson, where ho iiad many friends, who will regret to hear of his denth at* a comparatively early age. The list of Dardanelles wounded Includes Lieutenant. I<. Tnrnbull, who practises as a _ solicitor at Wangaimi. He i.s a son-of the late Mr A. lurnbull, who was Stipendiary Magistrate at Nelso >.' for some years, and ho lias relatives bore. Mr C. 11. Critchloy has severed his connection with the Napier "Daily Telegraph" alter a service extending over 20 years, during 15 of which, ho occupied tlie position of sub-editor. On tho eve of his departure for Waipawa, where he has taken over tho "Mail," Mr. Critchley. was met by a full gathering of his fellow employees and presented with a very valuable gold watch, suitably inscribed.
