NELSON ASSOCIATION.

Tho annual meeting of the Nelson Crib^age Association was held i?i Stallard's rooms la:st evening. The president (Mr W. J. Moft'att) was in the chair. There was a representative attendance.
The balance-sheet was read and adopted, showing a credit balance. The expenditure last year included «;■ substantial donation towards the Patriotic Fund.
Officers wore elected as follows:— President, Mr W. J. Moffatt (re-elect-ed) ; vicc-presidont, Mr A. Haase; treasurer, Mr Campboll ire-elected); secretary, Mr A. J. Stringer (re-elect-ed) ; committee, Messrs W. Andrews, A. W. Sfcallard, Geo. Logan, J. Morecoinbe, W. Ryan. A. Richards, and officers exofficio
The following i earns wwe nominated: Old Navals, Scottish, Citizens, Railway, Maitai, Bowlers, Brewers Further nominations will be received up till the 15th inst. Re&ret- was expressed at the loss of prominent players from the Railway t-eam who have left the district, and appreciation was expressed of the work of Mr Pressley, now at Glenliope. It was decided that the fixtures be drawn on the loth inst. A discussion, took place with regardto improving room accommodation, and the matter was left in the hands of Messrs Logan, Moffatt and Campbell to report at next meeting.
