SURVEY TO BE COMPLETED

Hampson, secretary of the Nelson Chamber of Commerce, has received the following letter from the Public Works Department):—"l have the honour, by direction of the Minister of Public Works, to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the sth inst., conveying an expression of opinion from the Nelson Chamber of Commerce as to the importance of completing the "Whangapeka and Little Wanganui track. In reply, I am directed by the Minister to inform you that arrangements have already been made for carrying out the survey of the remaining portion of the track. The survey is necessary before further work can be undertaken. I have, etc., H. J. H. Blow, Under-Sec-retary."
