WAKATU ASSOCIATION.
(From "The Colonist," March 29.) The annual m ■ eting 'of the Wakata Lnbbage Association was held last evening when the president (Mr Stiles) occupied the chair. Teams who are taking part in this season's matches were fully represented The report was read by the secretary i'Mr. Bray), covering the working of last season, and Mr Bray was complimented upon th« statement. The balance-sheet showed a small sum in hand, and there were no liabilities. Officers for the ensuing j'ear were elected as follows:—President, Mr. R. W. Stiles; vice-presidents', Messrs A. G. Stewart, Q. Britt and E. Edwards; an executive of one member from each team was elected ; lion, secretary and match recorder, Mr. W. J. Bray ; lion, treasurer, Mr. Levenston; selection committee, Messrs. Dayman, Edwards and Rickstts.
Several recommendations from the executive committee were adopted.
Resolved, that the executive committee meet on April 7th to prepare the fix T tures.
Promises of trophies wore received. It was announced that there were vacancies for two more teams.
A hearty vote of thanks was ac'crrled to Mr Bray for his: valuable services during the last season.
A vote of thinks to the -chairman terminated the meeting.
