CRAZE FOR SECRECY.
It is difficult to understand the craze for secrecy that seems to be creeping over certain democratic institutions of late. Little bodies of men who have something to. discuss pertaining to the commonweal fly away into hiding to hold their confabulations. There seems to be a growing conspiracy of hide and seek forming in the minds of some men holding representative positions, as if the general public were a common enemy to be vigilantly guarded against by plots hatched in corners.—"Age."
