The New Zealand Fruit and Produce Company report as follows: Owing to th© short supplies coming forward, prices havo ad'/aneed, and a Rood enquiry exists for all kinds of friut, especially best dessert pears and good cooking apples. The crop of tomatoes is about finished for this, season. Potatoes, onions, and eggs are in very snort supply, and sell readily at. high prices. Best cauliflowers are realising very satisfactory prices to growers. We should advise shippers to send fair consignments of fruit regularly. Those could ba disposed of at remunerative prices, and the market would not bo glutted. The foil-owing are the current pricey: Applos dessert, Cos's Orange 6s to is 6d, Jonathans 5s to 6g 6d, others 4s 6d to ss, cooking, Munroe's Favourite 4s 6d to os 6d, Alfristons, Reineittes, Five Crown 4s to ss; poars. cooking 5s to 6s at p-or case dessert, Wintor Coles and Winter Nelis 5s to 6s per half-dump case-, Beurriei Ciairgeau 4s to 4s 6d, Beurrie Capiamont 5s to 5s 6d, all at half case*; Cape gooseberries 5d per lb ; walnuts 5d to '5-Jd per lb ; tomatoes, Hutt, ripe 5s to. 6s 4d. half-ripe 4s to 4s 6d, green 1b per half case; eggs 2s 2d per dozen: grapes, Gros Coleman Is 2d per lb. ordinary 8d to lOd per lb; potatoes £7 10s; -onione £11.
