Thompson Bros, Ltd., report that fruit is scarce, and the market is advancing. During the week only very moderate supplies of fruit have come forward, and values are consistently firming. Moderate shipments of pears still continue to arrive* from Canterbury and this fruit is now certain of receiving the keenest attention of buyers.
