FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.

Tho Council of the New Zealand Football Association mot to-night. Mr. A. E. Gibbs, Association representative in London, wrote intimating that Queensland had favourably replied to his letter in connection with the combined representation scheme on football associations. He hoped to hear from South Australia, Victoria, and Tasmania shortly on the same matter. It was also intimated that the scheme, had boon favourably received at Home.
The Wanganui Association intimated that it would be prepared to guarantee £30 towards the expenses of the New South Wales team during its proposed lour of the Dominion. The Secretary reported that he had written to all the Associations who had promised guarantees asking for information in regard to the form the guarantees would take. He was instructed to write to those Associations which had not yet replied, urging them to take action. The Manawatu Association v.-rofro that it would be considering the question of a guarantee this week.
it was mentioned that all the district clubs had expressed their willingness tf) contribute. A letter from the Otago Association stated that an endeavour was to be made to encourage the game in both Oainam and Timaru.
