A double, fatality was narrowly averted in Aniseed X alley last Saturday. A party of young people are camping there. Two of these, Misses Marjory Haycock and Inid Palmer were bathing. Miss Palmar, 11 years of ago, slipped down a steep sandy bank into deep water. Miss Haycock, in trying to save her companion, gob into difficulties too. Their screams brought Mr Thompson, who was work-, i.ng at no great distance away, to their help. Ho rescued both in an uncoil. scions condition.
