The police . said that Cameron, had stolen from I railway carriages on country trains, and had apparently carried'out a system of thieving all over Christchurch. •Norman Smith and Stanley Kircher wero each fined £10 and costs for having stolen seven bales of kapoc from the warehouse of Ross and Gleridiuning. Smith' was o.rdered to pay back £7 14s for the stolon goods. According to th© police story accused had a system of thieving, and disposing of tho goods, which they had worked very cleverly.
