SHEARERS' DISPUTE.

[United Pbess' Association.] ' Christchurch, May 6. Early . nest month the Conciliation Council will hear a dispute between tho Sheepowners' Union and the Shearers' Union. The shipowners have filed a statement.demanding. a reduction of the shearing rate from £1 to 17s 6d and other variations .of the award.
