TWO JOCKEYS SERIOUSLY INJURED. [United Pjiess Association.] Auckland, March 26. The first day of the Auckland Racing Racing Club's autumn carnival was held at Ellerslie course to-day in. magnificent weather. The results were:— Tradesmen's Handicap: Manapouri 1, Rauparaha 2, Miss Advance 3. Scratched,' Madam Soult and- Fuss. Won by a neck. Brighton Hurdle Race: Prophet 1, ! Reservoir 2, Durborve 3. Also started, Te Arai and Lady Patricia. Won by a head. Gore Brown Handicap: Blue Garments 1, Lady Frances 2, Haku 3. Also started, Impulsive, Emblem, Aristos, Kilsyth, Captain Soult, Spectre, Penwarden, Soultorii, Lady Bettie and Nelius. Won by three lengths. Easter Handicap, of 750 soys : Waiari 1, Equitas 2, Wauchope 3. Also started, Salute, Mcrrivonia, Uranium, Advocate, Maheno, Ngapuka, Woodhey, Tamainupo, Dawn, Santa rasa, First Wairiki, Elegance and Aiubala. Salute fell, bringing down Advocate and First Wairiki, and interfering with several of tho others. Wen by a neck. Price, the rider of First Wairiki, was badly injured. Eden Handicap: Miss Winnie 1, Jena 2, Zinnia 3. Also started/ Maiora, Tattoo, Coromandel, Auldern, Haldane, General Hoult. Elcctrakoff, and Doggerbauk. Won by two and, a half lengths. Ellerslie Hack: War Song 1, Antoinette 2, Wenonah 3. Also started, Virtue, Goldfinder, Princess Soult, Birkdale, Master Wairiki, Lady Kilcheran, Doughboy, Hamadryad, Miss Ada, Veitaia, Wee Olga, His Highness, and Duma. Won by two lengths. ■ Nelson Handicap : Sea Elf 1, Epsom Lass 2, Admiral Soult 3. Also started, Reliance, Leo, Machaeloff, All's Well, Fuss, Waiotahi, Lloyds, Flat Fish, Monocle. Won by a length. Tramway Handicap: Turbine 1, Ma'hinoa 2, Waiata 3. Also started, Sir Artegal, Tarina, Hyperion and Pairawatu. Won by threo lengths.
