Auckland,- March 27. The jockey .Porter, rider of Te Arai in. the Hurdle race on Saturday, is suffering from severe fracture of the skull. He is now semi-conscious, but his condition is serious. • Pried, the rider^oi First Wairiki, is .suffering from .concussion of the brain. He is still unconscious.
