THE RANDWIOK MEETING.
[Pkess Association — Copyright.] (Received March 27, 7.20' p.m.) I Sydney, March 26. The weather was iine, and the attendance at Randwick was large. Bobrikoff's victory in the Autumn Stakes caused a popular demonstration. Hurdles: Treat 1, Contorp 2, Pharos 3. There were twelve starters. Won by half a length. Time, 3.49. Stakes : Bobrikoff 1, Maltme 2, Trafalgar 3. Seven started. Downfall was scratched. From a good start Maltine' was best away, but once fairly going Hoax -went to the front, Bobrikoff lying third. Hoax led along the back and round the turn, the Held undergoing little change, excepting that Bobrikoff moved into second place. On entering the straight the" lield closed up, Bobrikoff on the inside moving to the front at tho distance, fighting out a fine race with Maltine and Trafalgar. Won nicely by three-fourths of a length, half a length between second and third. Time, 2.33. . Sires' Produce Stakes : Beverage 1, Desfert Hose 2, Siryia 3. There were six starters. A great finish; won by a head, half a length separating second and third horses. Time, 1:28.. Doncaster: Storey (Brown) 1, Beanville (Foley) 2 y Applie.Pie (Dillon) 3. All .the 26 acceptors started. Mala and Knox were the first to break the line, and when they settled down Nadir took charge, followed, by Mala, Perkeo," and Parsee. Before reaching the six furlongs post, Storey went to the front, with Vauntie second. A> the half mile Storey, still had charge from Vauntie, Mala, Parsee and Perkeo into the straight, when Nadir showed the way, with Parsee as his nearest, attendant, and Storey and Mala lying handy. Once fairly on the way for home, Storey shot out, going strdhg, and won by three lengths. Time, 1.38*. St. Leger: Prince Foote 1, Daniio 2, Diabok} 3. These were the only starters. Prince Foote was frst on his feet, with Daniio second, Diabolo third. There was no change in these positions throughout. Prince Foote easily held his opponeir s, and romped home the winner by nearly a dozen lengths. Time, 3.55. High Weight Handicap : Po' Dance 1, Gold Thread 2, Veronie 3. There were twenty-one starters. Th< placed horses got together opposite \Ji© distance, and a splendid finish resulted. Won by a neck. Time, 1.13. In the Hurdle race three horses fell, and were badly injured. Sutton sustained a fractured skull, and Curran a fracture of the leg.
