ALLEGED DUAL POSITION.

Falmerston N. February 5 The Conciliation Board met here to-day regarding the dispute between the butter workers and the employers. The employers refused to give evidence on account of Mr Collins sitting on the Board, and ac^ cus6d him of acting in a dual capacity as agitator and judge. The Chairman that ths employers should take Jthat stand, and informed them that according Jto section 60 of the Act they could be compelled to appear, and if the meeting were adjourned this would be done. The employers then withdrew, and the sitting of the Board was adjourned* to Wellington at a date to be Hxed.
