Dargaville, February 5. A tire at the bush workings of MacGregor and Harris, contractors, for the Kauri Timber Company , bas destroyed nearly the whole of the new tramway and a number of logs. The damage is estimated at about £1000. Blenheim, February 5. A restaurant at Seddon, owned by D. Lambert, and occupied by Mrs R. Byford was destroyed by fire early this morning. The efforts of a bucket brigade were successful in saving Fuller's general store adjoining. Insurances: On the building £80 in the°Phoenix office and £65 in the New Zealand ; the furniture is insured for £100 in the Li verpool and London and Globe office. Feilding, February 5. The Apiti Dairy Company's creamery at Table Flat was destroyed by fire last night. Tne fires are still burning in the Apiti and Kangiwahia districts. There la no immediate danger but unless rain comes on or the wind keeps down there may be serious damage within the next week.
