Received March 5, 9.57 p.m Berlin, March 5 ' In the year 1898 extensive forgeries . of notes of the Imperial German j Rank were successfully carried out j by Herr Grunentball, which amounted as far as then known to half a millkuTmarks. The annualreport shows that the Bank sustained in 1906 a further loss of seven hundred and forty thousand marks, the valuejjof his forged notes'whicb were circulated abroad. Since h\s death these have now been redeemed.
