MAITAI HOCKEY CLUB.
The second annual meeting of this club was held at the Institute, April 20th, when there was a large attendance, Mr A. Dee occupying the chair. The report showed that 'good interest was taken in the game, and that iinancially the club was sound. The election of officers resultedjas follows:— President, Mr R. B. Jackson. Vice-Presidents, Messrs J. E. Hounsell, J. Bockmann, W. Moves, J. S. Duff. R. Allan, R. Allan, J. C. Mercer, and W. Dee. Club Captain, Mr B. Tasker. 'Hon.fSecretary and Treasurer, Mr W. Batchelor. Management Committee, Messsrs McGoldrick, A. Webb, B. Tasker, L. Jackson, R. Toms, and W. Batchelor. Selection Committee, Messrs C. Sherwood, B. Tasker, and W. Batchelor. Delegates to the Nelson Hockey Association, Messrs McGoldrick and W. Batchelor. The following new members were elected :— Messrs F. Brown, McGoldrick, E. Rudman, W. Browne, O. Graham, A. Krahagen, J. Wallace, H. Neal, and W. LucreIt was resolved to challenge the _Saturdax.._aftaEaO-Qn--_.-Playi>re a Pririce of Wales' Birthday. The season is to be opened tomorrow afternoon, at 2.30, in the Botanical Gardens, and all hockey players are invited to attend.
