The mine manager reports from tbe Lye.l Creek Extended Company^ mine for the week as follows :— The week haß been occupied with the work of cutting oat tbe chamber for the main shaft. The country iB. however, somewhat hard. All tne necessary timber for tba Bame ba? been hauled oat of the ouch, and ia now ready to be pat in as required.
