Tbe United Alpine mine manager's report for the week iB as follows:— At No. 9 main level the reef C3DtiuU6B to maintain a width of 12 fee*. A new splice wbioh has ben made on the banging wall Bide shows gold more freely, and, judgiog from the kindly character of the Btone, farther improvements in tbe quality may be ezpeoted. Tbe oontraotois for the orosßont on the west of tbe inoline abaft at Mo. 9 level have driven a farther distaooe of five feet. The couatry oontinae3 very hßrd. Etoping is being oanied on at Nos. 1 and 4 levels. At No. 1, the reef is four feet wide, and contains fair gold. At No. 4. tht> reef is very maoh broken and irregular, tbe -width belag about two feet, and contains f sir gold. One hundred tons have been sent to tbe battery for the week.
