STATE HOUSING

EARLY' START EXPECTED AT FRANKTON. Advice that the erection of 21 houses at Frankton will be started shortly has been received by Mr C. A. Barreil, M.P. for Hamilton, from Mr J. A. Lee, Parliamentary Under Secretary in charge of housing. The houses will be erected on at: area acquired from Mr T. G. Reynolds at Norton Road, Frankton, states Mr Lee. Eight will be included in one contract and ten in the second, and there will be individual contracts lor the remaining three. Two houses will be t.wo-unit flats, so that there will be accommodation for 23 tenants. 11. is hoped to have tenders called by May 24, and from the moment the building is started other contracts will be let to maintain good business conditions in the building trade.
