fight Between Foley and Barke
A match has btcnauanged between Foley and Uiukc, in Sydney. Mr Allison, with Mi Jack Buike called at the "E\ening Now .->" oihco, and announced the anticipated e\cnt that v\ 111 place all sporting men on the tiptoe ot expectation. Burke M\y& that ho came to Australia for the express puipose of meeting Foley, and he is delighted at the prospect. In America he had heard so much about the pio\\ess> of Foley that he longed to get an opportunity to mcasui c mu&cle& with him. Mace, Burke &ays, told him much about Foley. He remarked to A! ace, "Then why does not Foley come to America, where he will tind plenty of money ?" Mace replied : "You go to Austialia; you will find Foiey w ill accommodate you." Burke took the advice, and now he is to be accommodated. The two men will at once go into training. Burke thinks he will go to Frank Smith's, at Botany. The conditions of the match are to be six rounds, the winner to take all the gate money and a £200 trophy. Burke wants to box for eight rounds ; Foley fancies six. The match w take place in about five weeks from date.
