O'Farrell, solicitor, who gained notoriety in 18S1 by shooting at the late Archbishop Goold, was arrested to day on a chargo of having threatened to take the life of Wm Lane, his brother in -law. Jt was alleged that Mr Lane was a trustee under O'Farrell'a will, and they recently quarrelled about a settlement. Angry letter? passed between them, and the last from O'Farroll contained the threat complained of O'Fairell, who is well-known in the city, is 60 years of age.
