FOOTBALL.
CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. The Management Committee of, the Canterbury Football Association ! met last evening, Mr R. English presiding. A letter was received from the Christ church United Football Club, forwarding a protest against St. j Bede's Club for playing an unregistered player, W. in a recent j match. The rules of the association stated that any club playing such a member was rendered liable to suspension. It was decided to refer the letter to the Match Committee for further I investigation. The Match Committee's report stated that the playing of the follow- j ing matches would conclude the pre- j sent season:—Technical A v. Nomads A (White Cup final). Fourth | grade: B.G.H. v. Linwood, North Park, 3 p.m.; St. Albans v. St. ! Bede's, English Park, 1.45. The report was adopted. The Finance Committee's report j slated that the finances of the association were in a very healthy condition. On the general account the I season was started with a deficit of I £27. and the committee will be in a | position to wipe off all accounts by i the end of the present season. Oh j the ground account there was a j credit balance of over £32, while the liabilities were £46. The report was adopted, and accounts amounting to j £B2 12/4 were passed for payment, j
