ST. ALBANS DEFEATED. B.GJH.’S DECISIVE WIN. The match between Boys’ Gordon Hall and St. Albans was played at the North Park. From the kick off the Boys’ took charge of the ball, and forcing the pace kept their opponents busy. Several ineffectual shots were made, but subsequently good work by Williams and Tanner enabled B.G.H. to score. A second goal was registered by Nicholson two minutes later. B.G.H. 2, St. Albans 0. Marshall, assisted by the wind, shot a third goal for B.G.H. B.G.H. 3. St. Albans 0. Give and take play followed, St. Albans making several unsuccessful shots. Second Half. In the second half St. Albans had the advantage of the wind, and in the lies! Few minutes made a number of long shots, none of which was effective. B.G.H. maintained the pressure, and a well directed shol by Tanner entered the goal. B.G.H. 1. St. Albans 0. A second ineffective j shot was made by Jones, Rollo saving. Marshall scored for B.G.H. from the return. B.G.H. 5, St. Albans 0. From the kick out St. Albans tried hard to score, and their efforts were rewarded, a shot by Nickol entering the goal. The game ended: Boys’ Gordon Hall .. 5 St. Albans 1 Referee: Mr G. Black.
