RANGERS v. UNITED.
LEADERS OVERWHELMED. This match was played .'it English Park, United playing four men short and Hangers one short. United kicked off, and Beauvais repulsed, and a concerted movement was started by Pilling. Bruorton, in goal, saved in tine style. ' United played mj pbykily, and Smith was almost through, but Gordon relieved. Rangers again pressed, and from a scramble in goal Pilling scored. Bruorton was conspicuous for line play, hut the scores were unaltered at the interval.
Resuming, Rangers quickly attacked, and goals were registered in quick succession by Barwell (4) and Pilling (2). United broke away repeatedly, but found the opposition altogether too strong, and a very one-sided display ended:— Rangers 7 United 0 Referee: Mr J. Bryce. WON BY DEFAULT. LINWOOD v. ST. BEDES. St. Bcdc's defaulted to Linwood in the senior grade. THIRD GRADE. Western v. Nomads was won by Nomads, with a score of 3 to 1. The scorers for the winners were Munro (2) and Palmer, and for the losers Wilkinson. Referee: Mr B. S. Knox. Sumner heat St. Albans by 5 to 1. Referee: Mr Spencer. FOURTH GRADE. Technical v. Cadets A was won by Technical, with a score of 10 to nil. The scorers for the winners were Hamilton (4), Scott (3), Woodbury, Kirk, Carter, and Cooke. St. Rede's v. Nomads B was won by St. Bcdc's, with a score of i) to nil. The scorers for the winners were Lawrence (4). O'Brien (3), Badland, and Gibson. Referee: Mr Waddell. Linwood v. Cadets 1? was won by Linwood, with a score of 7 to nil. The scorers for the winners were Newey (2), Brady (2), Kirk, Hunt, and King. Referee: Mr Nicholls. Nomads v. St. Albans was drawn, neither side scoring. Referee: Mr Connor.
